Today marks the 20th year of my career as a website engineer. I never thought I could stick to one profession for so long. This journey has been full of ups and downs, accompanied by life changes: from being single at 20 in 2002, to becoming a girlfriend, a wife, and a mother. Along the way, I experienced challenges like dealing with a third party in my relationships, navigating in-law conflicts in my marriage, battling my own physical and mental health issues, and supporting family members through their hard times. Yet, I am deeply grateful to my clients, friends, and family for their trust, support, and encouragement, which helped me persevere. Their unconditional love 💕 has kept me going for 20 years.
💕 1995, My First Love:
At the age of 13, my uncle gifted me an old computer. It was love at first sight. I immersed myself in exploring how to organize files, teaching myself to type, use various software, and even print documents. I learned Microsoft Office and design software, creating projects like greeting cards and timetables for classmates. Studying computers became my greatest passion.
💕 1996–2002, My Second Love:
Before studying abroad at 20, my grandfather gave me the opportunity to act as his young secretary, helping him prepare English and Chinese documents using Word and Excel. I taught myself to type in Chinese, learned English typing from a tutor, and joined my first course at Informatics IT Academy. I later helped teachers at school prepare documents like class lists and exam results analysis. After high school, I pursued a Higher Diploma in IT at Informatics, where I met exceptional teachers who profoundly influenced me. The coursework was challenging, and many students struggled to graduate. Knowing my English was weak, I dedicated myself to studying day and night, using dictionaries to understand every word and practicing past exam questions rigorously. Hard work paid off—I earned a scholarship in my first year and graduated successfully in my second.
💕 2002–2007, My Third Love:
With my grandfather’s support, I completed a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Oxford Brookes University. In 2004, I launched my first website in Oxford and became its administrator. In 2005, I pursued a second Master’s in IT, specializing in e-commerce systems in Australia. Despite personal struggles, including emotional challenges, I found angels along the way who lifted me up, helping me graduate.
💕 2008–2009, My Fourth Love:
My child, DunDun, arrived. After resigning from my job at the Australian Transport Department due to pregnancy, I returned to Malaysia to prepare for his birth. While being a full-time mom, I continued working on websites, balancing motherhood and work until DunDun was born after 16 hours of labor.
💕 2009–2016, My Fifth Love:
DunDun became my motivation. I was his daily companion and playmate, and he was my best friend. Through him, I learned patience, love, and the drive to study hard on how to be a good mother. A lawyer from Australia introduced me to website projects for his clients seeking Australian immigration, which included designing websites for fashion designers, restaurants, nutritionists, and churches.
💕 2016–Present, My Sixth Love:
An Australian employer trusted me despite my imperfect English and hired me as a Website Technical Support Engineer, allowing me to balance a 20-hour workweek with family life. This year marks the eighth year of working with her. Even after moving back to Malaysia, she continued to trust me to manage over 100 websites for doctors and clinics, primarily dental practices.
💕 2021–2024, My Seventh Love:
A Malaysian employer accepted me as a partner, giving me the opportunity to build and maintain websites for government agencies and clients. In 2022, I joined a Singapore-based web company and worked full-time on projects for clients like NUS, supermarkets, Rolex/Tudor retailer, Franck Muller Asia, and L’Oréal.
💕 2004–2024, My Eighth Love:
My clients’ trust has been a constant. Starting as a solo website engineer, I eventually led a team in 2022 to serve clients from Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia. This brought me the joy of mentoring, fulfilling my childhood dream of becoming a teacher. My team now consists of qualified junior website engineers and administrators. I had given Website Admin trainings to my clients in the past 20 years, the youngest in their 20s and the oldest in their 70s.

My Vision:
I hope to continue serving more clients, solving website challenges, and training others to become skilled website administrators. My dream is to build brands for companies and organizations, connecting them with the world through websites.
I also aspire to become a certified relationship coach this year, helping broken relationships and families heal. I aim to be a “love and marriage engineer” who mends shattered hearts. ⛽

建设和维护网站20年周年纪念分享：
网站工程师这个职业今天走入第二十年，没想到我可以坚持一份职业那么长时间，这一路上坎坎坷坷，身份的转换从2002年20岁单身、女朋友、妻子、母亲。经历了第三者的风波、婆媳风暴、自己身心生病、家人身心生病、人生中起起落落。感谢我的客户，身边的朋友，家人，他们的信任、支持和鼓励，让我没有放弃这个职业。无条件的爱💕让我坚持了二十年。
💕1995年，第一份爱：13岁那年，大舅把旧电脑送给我，从此我爱上电脑，每天都会研究，如何预备各种文件，自学打字、用各种软件和打印，学Microsoft Office和设计软件，喜欢做不同的作品如贺卡、各种文件。比如每年都帮同学制作时间表。研究电脑，成为我最大的兴趣爱好。
💕1996-2002年，第二份爱：13-20岁出国读书前，外公给我机会成为他的小小秘书，帮他用Word, Excel预备英文和中文文件，我自学中文打字，出去跟老师学英文打字, Microsoft Office, 学习使用Email，第一次进入Informatics IT 学院学习。后来，有机会帮中学老师预备一些文件如班级名单等，也曾经帮学校预备会考考试成绩报告。中学毕业后，进入Informatics电脑学院就读IT高级文凭，认识了几个对我影响很深的好老师。因为课程很难，许多学生每个学期都可能不及格毕不了业。我知道自己本来英文就差，非常害怕留级，所以除了学校假期，七天从早到晚在图书馆苦读，每一个不会的英文单词都查字典，每一年的考题都会反复练习。老师们都很有爱心和耐心，为我解答各种难题。勤能补拙，第一年拿到奖学金，第二年顺利毕业。
💕2002-2007年，第三份爱：外公支持家里的第三代包括我完成了牛津布鲁克斯大学，电脑科学学士和硕士学位。2004年，建设的第一个网站在英国牛津面世，也成为网站管理员，负责维护网站。2005年到澳洲读第二个IT硕士学位，主修电子商务系统，也参与了澳洲机构的网站建设和管理。读书期间遇到许多感情问题，陷入忧郁，但身边总有天使为我加油打气，最终毕业了。
💕2008-2009年，第四份爱：敦敦，我的孩子来了，怀孕后离开了就职三个月的澳洲交通局的工作，回到马来西亚安胎。我只能在家做网站的工作，直到破羊水，16小时后，敦敦出生了。一边当全职妈妈，一边继续网站工作。
💕2009-2016年，第五份爱：敦敦，是我努力工作的动力。我是他每天的玩伴和陪伴，他是我最好的朋友，他让我学习耐心、爱心和勤奋学习如何当个称职的妈妈，看了很多书和网页学当妈妈的角色。有位弟兄是澳洲的律师，他将生意介绍给我，帮助他的客户建设他们生意的网站，都是为了申请澳洲移民。就有机会制作服装设计师、餐厅、营养师和教会等网站。
💕2016-现在，第六份爱：澳洲老板接纳我英文没有太好，但是信任我，让我成为网站技术支持工程师，一星期20小时的工作，让我能够兼顾家庭。老板和同事的爱和鼓励，让英文还是比较差的我，能够信心满满的服务客户网站。今年迈入八周年。就算搬回马来西亚，老板还是继续信任我，为她管理总共超过一百个医生和诊所，主要是牙医诊所网站。
💕2021-2024年, 第七份爱：马来西亚老板接纳我成为他的合作伙伴，让我能够帮助马来西亚政府机构和客户建设和维护网站。2022年，我第一次尝试全时间工作，加入新加坡网站公司的团队，帮助新加坡客户建设和维护网站，曾经参与的网站项目包括新加坡大学NUS、新加坡超市、Tudor代理商、亚洲Franck Miller、国际品牌Loreal等。
💕2004-2024年，第八份爱：客户对我的信任，从一个人单打独斗，到2022年，自己带领团队服务新加坡、马来西亚和澳洲的客户，让我真的成为导师，让团队经过培训，成为合格的网站工程师和管理员。感谢你们的爱和支持，成就今天的我，成为马来西亚设计大奖的得奖者，这是这二十年来的艰辛努力的最好礼物。

客户经过培训，已经成为合格的网站管理员，最小的二十几岁，最老的七十几岁。能成为导师，是我小学的梦想，很开心能够实现。
愿我成为一个懂得爱自己的人，继续带着健康的身心，带着团队复制更多自己来服务更多客户，解决网站问题。能继续培训更多的客户成为自己网站的管理员，让每个网站都能得到维护，为公司和机构打造品牌，让世界通过网站认识他们、他们的产品和服务。
